As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout the country and its impacts are felt throughout the economy and global financial markets, we understand that this is a time of uncertainty for many people including business leaders.

First and foremost, the health, safety and well-being of our clients and associates remains our highest priority.

Cities and states across the US have ordered the closure of nonessential businesses. But which companies are considered "essential" and which are considered "nonessential"?

Technically, it's up to cities and states to decide. The current consensus, as quoted by the Governor of Pennsylvania, California and other government officials, states the following are considered to be essential type businesses:

As previously stated, we encourage all to use their best judgment and follow the recommendations and tips provided by the CDC on how to slow the spread of COVID-19. Take steps in protecting yourself by washing your hands with soap and water, avoid close contact with others, stay home if sick, and covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
