With more than 30 years of experience, Tom Dolfay provides strategic leadership for the company by working with the board and senior leadership team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies based on structure, execution and accountability. He is leading the company to penetrate the heavy equipment and property markets as well as grow existing auto markets through the use of the Web-based estimating solution PDA Xpress. Since joining PDA, Dolfay introduced the heavy equipment and specialty program, performance metrics for greater effectiveness, efficiency in conjunction with internal controls and a quality control strategy. He launched a new internal franchise management system, PDAFMS, which dramatically improved company and franchisee communications. Under his leadership, the company’s appraisal product quality level has improved to levels that exceed industry standards.

Before joining PDA, Dolfay was the Executive Vice President of Nordic Cold Storage, LLC. He was responsible for overseeing accounting and finance, maintenance and engineering, IT, key account management, profits and losses and CapEx budget development and management, as well as vendor contract negotiations and management. Dolfay designed and implemented the organizational structure for business and operations planning, the annual budget, the SWOT analysis and the company’s business plan.

Previously, Dolfay served as the Senior Vice President for Millard Refrigerated Services. He was with the company for more than a decade and successfully planned and directed the complete design of their organizational structure for planning, marketing and budgeting. He also introduced corporate business processes, infrastructure and operations for the senior management team. Prior to Millard, Dolfay held upper level executive positions at American Medical International and St. Joseph Hospital Center for Mental Health.

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and a Bachelor of Science from St. Cloud State University.


Ken Loose

Ken Loose brings over 25 years of multi-line claims and claim management experience to PDA. Loose is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and general management of PDA. He is accountable for process and workflow, metric reporting, client satisfaction and the quality and calibration of PDA’s captive franchise network, delivering a robust menu of appraisal services.

Prior to joining PDA, Loose was the assistant vice president and managing general agent liaison for Balboa Insurance Group, an insurance division of Bank of America. He was accountable for all personal and commercial lines claims handling of casualty, automobile and homeowners claims losses; quickly expanding his responsibilities to include high exposure litigation, large homeowner and injury losses, general liability, quality assurance and audit facilitation.

Previously, Loose worked at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company where he held various executive and management positions for 22 years. He was accountable for the decision making for the entire Nationwide Mutual Texas Insurance Operation as Director of Material Damage. The position afforded him extensive operational leadership opportunities and experience, where he was responsible for all claims metrics relative to automobile and specialty claims, ownership of a multi-million dollar budget, staffing for more than 150 employees, fleet management of company vehicles, procurement of equipment and supplies, facilities maintenance, security and safety, compliance, vendor management, contract negotiations, training facilitation and corporate volunteer/charity programs.

Loose was an appointed member of the Texas Anti-Fraud Automobile Theft committee and the Department of Licensing, Industrial Towing committee at the request of the Texas Attorney General.

Loose has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Millersville University.


Tom Slimak

Tom Slimak has more than 20 years of experience in claims and field management with a strong emphasis on personal auto, commercial auto and injury claims. In his role, he has a broad and comprehensive knowledge of all matters related to PDA’s business with an eye toward identifying new sales prospects and driving business growth and requirements for product development.

Previously, Slimak worked for Travelers Insurance Company where he held multiple management positions. While at the company he led a multi-level management staff and a large claim staff including appraisers, APD reps, casualty reps, technical specialists and major case specialists. He was responsible for developing and driving the field office product strategy with ultimate accountability for results. He also participated in the development of claim management strategies specific to the auto product area by working with home office and product leadership.

Slimak also held multiple positions with Progressive Insurance where he gained estimating experience and earned Progressive’s highest-level auto appraiser certification. He began his insurance claims career with Integon Insurance Company as a property/casualty claim representative where he did extensive appraisal work.

Slimak has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in management from University of Mount Union.


Grady Nance, Jr.

Grady Nance has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the fields of physical damage, insurance and law enforcement with a primary concentration in compliance, strategic planning and developing customer-centric environments.

Prior to joining PDA, Nance was General Manager of Gerber Collision & Glass in the Columbus, Ohio market. Prior to that, he served in a number of leadership positions with Nationwide Insurance, where he managed material damage teams as a front-line manager, associate director, technical director and, ultimately, National Total Loss and Salvage Recovery Director. In this role, he centralized Nationwide’s fire and theft operations and developed one of the first mobile electronics replacement units.

Before Nationwide, Nance served in law enforcement, rising to the rank of Colonel in North Carolina’s third-largest sheriff’s office.

Nance holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion, with a concentration in Counseling from Liberty University.


Jeff Mucci

With more than 25 years of experience in business development, insurance claims leadership, contract negotiation and procurement, Jeff Mucci leads PDA’s strategic and tactical planning for sales and marketing. His primary objectives are to increase market share and drive short- and long-term revenue growth. Mucci’s responsibilities include developing relationships with franchisees, customers and potential clients, leading PDA’s national sales and operations teams, overseeing complaint resolution and managing all marketing communications programs.

Prior to joining PDA, Mucci was Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Material Damage at Catastrophe Solutions International in St. Louis, Missouri. While at CSI, he developed new, multi-million-dollar relationships with leading insurance companies and national MSO repairers and launched the company’s first material damage claims department.

Previously, he worked as Material Damage Claims/Vendor Manager at Safe Auto Insurance Co., Material Damage and Salvage Director at Westfield Group of Companies and Senior Field Claims Representative at Farmers Insurance.

Mucci earned a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics from Muskingum College.
